September 16, 2006: Rick Dundon of Gloucester, Mass. bested his third place finish last year to win the 2006 New Hampshire State 8 Ball Champiobship held in Keene last week (Sept 17), taking home the $1,000 first place prize money. The tournament, sponsored by Keene Mitsubushi and McCue's Billiards, is a fundraiser for local charities and is sanctioned by the New England Billiards League.
Last year's winner, Delmar (DJ) Hopkins of Jaffrey finished second. Don Blake of Keene improved on his 2005 sixth-place performance to place third.
Also placing in the money were: Roland St. Cyr of Brookline, Vt., fourth; Mark Morse of Bellows Falls, Vt., fifth; Brian Finn of Athol, Mass., sixth; Josh Lerner of Easthampton, Mass, seventh; and Joseph Ambrose of Bondville, Vt, eigth.
